和暦の年号　平成
この終わりの年など、物事の区切りを
節目と言われています。

木材や竹など、曲がる所や枝分かれするところを節のある所。
と言われ
比喩的に、物事の区切りとなる（大事な）所。
と使われています。
自然と共存に重みを置かれている日本語ですね。
