何故なら、世界各社が2023/10から、EV計画は失敗投資の回収どころが、すべて破綻状態だという事で撤退し始めました。
バッテリーの出火が全世界で発生、内燃エンジンを廃止したが、すでに開発者がなくなり、工場も無くなり結局失敗。
明確な電気自動車（EV）推進姿勢を打ち出し、積極的なEV投入を進めてきた同社だが、EV需要が踊り場に差し掛かったと言われる現在、販売台数に陰りが出ており、
今年1～6月の販売台数は前年同期比で17％の落ち込みとなっている。同社のEV戦略はどこへ向かうのか。モータージャーナリストの御堀直嗣氏が解説する。
ただ、今年の同社の販売台数を見ると、EVが4万5843台（4～6月）で、PHEVは4万4120台（4～6月）であり、
EVの方が若干ではあるが上回っている。また、新車販売全体に対するEV比率は9.2％を保持している。
ドイツ国内に限れば、EV購入に対する政府の補助金が昨年12月で終了したことが、EV販売台数が減少した一因ではあるだろう。
