山梨県側の富士山を登っていた２０歳代男性が２０日午後、
「疲れて動けない」と富士吉田署に通報した。
救助隊員６人が捜索を続けているうちに、男性は自力で下山。
同日夜、東京都内の自宅に戻るまで、下山したことを同署に連絡しなかった。

男性は同日朝、単独で麓から登り始めた。
アイゼンをつけていないなど軽装で、登山届も提出していなかったという。
残雪に覆われた８合目付近で動けなくなり、午後０時４０分頃、救助を求めた。
