Prime Minister Takaichi: Yes. Well, I am aware of the announcement regarding the return of the pandas you mentioned. Pandas are widely beloved by the Chinese people, and the two being returned this time have also been loved by many people for a long time. We hope that he will be healthy and well in China. Chief Cabinet Secretary: Yes. I am aware that the chairman of Rengo and the chairman of Keidanren met today to hold a roundtable discussion on spring labor-management negotiations. Prior to this year’s spring labor-management negotiations, during last year’s government-labor-management exchange of views, I asked representatives of labor and management for their cooperation in achieving wage increases at a level comparable to that of the year before and last, and in particular, base pay increases that can keep up with inflation. The Takaichi Cabinet is committed to creating an environment in which wage increases can be sustained, rather than leaving it entirely up to businesses.
